1. If I want to plead Not Guilty what do I have to do?

The Village of Howard Municipal Court needs your Not Guilty plea in writing prior to your initial court date. Your initial court date is written on the top of the citation that was given to you. You may use the Not Guilty Plea Form or write a letter telling the court you are entering a plea of Not Guilty to (reference the citation number and offense name), date the letter, sign it and print your correct mailing address and phone number. You may also send a not guilty plea to the Court by e-mail to mheim@villageofhoward.com. 

2. What if my driver license is suspended, how do I get it back?

First you have to pay all past due fines and forfeitures, and then you must go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and pay a reinstatement fee to reinstate your operating privileges.

3. How do I obtain a copy of an accident report?

You need to call the Brown County Sheriff's Department at 920-448-4208. Please allow an average of 2-3 working days to obtain a copy of your accident report. You can go online and enter in your incident number, if you do not have your incident number you need to contact Brown County Sheriff's Department.  https://www.co.brown.wi.us/departments/?department=3377616beeef

4. How do I get a copy of the officer’s report?

You may request a copy of the officer’s report, by contacting the Brown County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Records Dept., 2684 Development Drive, Green Bay, WI 54311, Phone: (920) 448-4200, Fax: (920) 448-4206.

5. How can I determine what my driving status is?

You need to contact the Department of Transportation online or by calling 1-800-924-3570.

6. Is there anything that I can do to get points back?

You can take Traffic Safety School, it is offered at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Satisfactory completion entitles the participant to a 3 point reduction on their driving record. Classes are scheduled on an ongoing basis.

You need to remember that point reduction can only be taken once in a 3-year period; it is recommended that you check your driving record with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to verify that point reduction is needed at this time.
