Yard Waste Removal
Brush Collection
Brush collection starts in April of each year and continues through November. Brush is only collected on Tuesdays, and residents must schedule the service. Please use the BRUSH/SPECIAL COLLECTION icon on the homepage of the website to submit an online request for service. You also can call the Public Works Department at (920) 434-4060 to be added to the collection route. You must submit your request prior to 1 p.m. on Monday to get added to the Tuesday collection.
The largest diameter branch collected is 6 inches. The branches should be stacked neatly at the curb, parallel to the street, or they will not be collected. Brush must be placed to the curb by 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Tree stumps and root balls will not be collected during curbside brush pickup. Curbside collection of Christmas trees occurs during the first two weeks in January of each year.
Leaf Collection
The Village of Howard Public Works Department collects loose leaves and thatch in the spring and fall of each year. This is a village-wide service, and residents do NOT need to schedule leaf pickup. Approximate dates for spring collection are from the first Monday in April through the third Friday in April. Approximate dates for fall collection are from the third Monday in October through the third Friday of November (or when most leaves are gone or snow prevents further collection). For complete information or to track the leaf trucks, click here.Yard Waste & Compost Drop-off Site
