Parks Division

Responsibilities
The Howard parks are maintained by the Howard Department of Public Works under the direction of Mike Harris. The Parks Division is responsible for care and maintenance of all park areas, park pavilions, trail systems and sport fields. We also maintain turf grass at various village properties and street medians. Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan

The Village of Howard Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) 2014-2019 is a plan that is intended to guide the development and fiscal management of Howard's park, recreation, and open space needs for the next 5 years. In addition this plan allows Howard to be eligible for grant programs through the State of Wisconsin and federal agencies.

The CORP is a collaborative effort between village staff, user groups, elected officials, and citizen input that was adopted by the Village Board of Trustees through resolution 2014-06 on January 27, 2014.
