L.E. O'CONNOR FELLOWSHIP
The Village President, Trustees, and Administrator of Howard, Wisconsin welcome you and invite you to learn more about the L.E. O'Connor Public Administration Fellowship. This Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to utilize your graduate degree in a continuing educational environment.

With guaranteed professional development funds, Fellows take advantage of both local (WCMA) and international (ICMA) conferences to complement and enhance their Fellowship experience while allowing them to network with both local and international colleagues. The Village of Howard signed a memo of understanding with ICMA, allowing ICMA Fellowship benefits to be extended to the L.E. O'Connor Public Administration Fellowship.

The L.E. O'Connor Public Administration Fellowships offers one year of post-graduate well-rounded experience in which Fellows have the distinct opportunity to be involved in innovative and esteemed tasks including:

- Collaborating with ICMA's Center for Performance Measurement;
- Collaborating with the Alliance for Innovation on various issues;
- Providing administrative support to the Village's Go Green Save Green taskforce; and
- Special projects as assigned by the Executive Leadership Team.

Along with key duties and functions, the Fellow is able to mold his or her experience to fit their chosen interests and career goals.

The Village of Howard borders Green Bay and lies minutes from Lambeau Field, the Bay of Green Bay, and other historical and cultural locations. With a population of 16,753 and roughly 4,000 acres of undeveloped land, Fellows are able to observe and monitor first-hand growth management, economic development, and urban sprawl. The highly anticipated $1 billion Hwy 41/29 corridor redevelopment will also bring economic development and growth to the Village, and future Fellows will be a key asset to the planning and development of the impacts and projects spurring from the Hwy 41 project.

Thank you for your interest in the L.E. O'Connor Fellowship!
