RECREATION & SENIOR SERVICES
SARA KING, RECREATION SUPERVISOR
Sara King was appointed as Howard Recreation Supervisor on December 5, 2007. Prior to that appointment she served as Recreation Supervisor for Bellevue, Wisconsin and Membership Services Director for Girl Scouts of Lac Baie Council in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Recreation Supervisor oversees all recreation programming in the community including youth, adult, and senior citizen activities; special events; trips; and sports leagues. She is also a liaison to the Howard Youth Sports Association and the Duck Creek Softball Association.

Ms. King received her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and is a Certified Park & Recreation Professional (CPRP) through the National Recreation and Park Association. She is a Delegate to the Great Lakes Academy for Leadership Advancement and the Region II Representative to the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association. Ms. King is also a member of the Wisconsin Association of Senior Centers and Wisconsin Association of Cheer & Pom Coaches.

ABOUT RECREATION & SENIOR SERVICES
Recreation & Senior Services is a component unit of the Parks, Recreation & Senior Services Department, which also includes divisions for Forestry and Golf. The administrative staff for this department are housed at the Village Hall, located at 2456 Glendale Avenue. Regular office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Mission Statement

The Howard Parks, Recreation & Senior Services Department shall strive to develop and maintain a comprehensive park system with a balance design of active and passive facilities; manage the community's natural resources; and provide recreation programs and leisure services which will enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of all residents, in an efficient and cost effective manner that responds to the needs of the residents.

Recreation & Senior Services has an information hotline. 920-434-5559. This line allows the public to receive 24 hour information regarding program cancellations and changes, park openings and registration information. If additional information is needed, please call during regular office hours (920-434-4640).
