The Village of Howard Plan Commission is comprised of seven (7) members. The Village President is the presiding officer and has the option of appointing six (6) citizen members or five (5) citizen members and one (1) Village Trustee all of whom are subject to the confirmation of the Village Board. The Village Board representative or one citizen member of the Plan Commission shall be appointed annually by the Village President, subject to confirmation by the Village Board. The citizen members shall be appointed for staggered three (3) year terms.
The Village of Howard Plan Commission meets the third Monday of every month at 6:30 P.M. at Village Hall. The Plan Commission reviews all zoning, subdivision, site plan and conditional use permit requests. After reviewing a submittal the Plan Commission forwards a formal recommendation to the Village Board for final action.
