Applying for a License or Permit
The village issues several types of permits and licenses some of which are administered by the Administrative Services Department. Applications can be obtained below or by dropping by the Village Hall at 2456 Glendale Ave. Some permits, such as the building permits, are issued by other departments.
Weights & Measures License
Weights and measures licenses are issued to all businesses that have measuring devices used in selling products. Examples of such businesses are gas stations (gas pumps measure gallons pumped) and stores using scales for weighing and selling products by weight. Stores that utilize scanners are also subject to this license.
Peddler's Permit
Peddler's permits are needed for anyone desiring to sell products door-to-door. Background checks are made of persons requesting this license and the village has the right to pull anyone's license for excessive complaints.
